Students under the banner of "Yuva Kisan Chatra Akrosh", led by its Convener Mukesh Bhakar, assembled at the University of Rajasthan campus to gherao Jaipur police commissionerate demanding arrest of those involved in the attack on Hanuman Beniwal on the night of September 23. The students were holding the rally peacefully but it was the police that triggered unruly scenes leading to the clash. They resorted to baton-charge and indulged in violence injuring at least 50 students, Beniwal said while visiting the injured at SMS hospital.
