Now Preeya Pariwar, Meri Gold also facing heat of MLM Scam

Rajasthan Polices busted two more MLM Companies Meri Gold and Preeya Pariwar in fraud case yesterday after raids on  RCM and Starnet last week in Bhilwara. Cracking the whip on multi-level marketing(MLM) companies, police on Monday unearthed two more companies that were cheating people in the name of healthcare and membership in Vidhyadhar Nagar locality. The directors of the companies were arrested and an FIR was registered against them.  Police lodged a suo motu FIR against a company identified as Mari Gold and arrested its three directors. The company was inviting people to deposit Rs 4,000 to become members and promised them hefty commission on bringing in more members. “The directors, identified as Ramavtaar Singh, Sarita Agarwal and Chandrasekhar Agarwal, were arrested for allegedly cheating 1,700 members of Rs 70 lakh. We seized the company’s office and registered cases against them,” commissioner of police B L Soni said. He added that the company used to give shirt pieces as gifts to those who paid membership fees of Rs 4,000, promising a hefty commission which they never gave.
The multi-million dollar scam involving one Preeya Parivar - a company involved in imparting professional computer education and multi-level marketing - unearthed by city police has put thousands of students in a tizzy. Thousands of students are enrolled under various computer certificate programmes in Shekhawati and Jaipur. “I am shocked to read the news of cheating by my institute. I went there but the institute was locked. Nobody has informed us when it will open,” Rajesh Meena, a student of the institute in Sikar, said.
