Stage set for Rajasthan budget session 2011

The ruling Congress will chalk out its strategy for getting the scheduled business cleared in the ongoing budget session in Rajasthan Assembly. The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) will meet under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot at his official residence at 1930 hrs tomorrow, Government Chief Whip Virender Beniwal told UNI here today. The meeting will discuss and finalise the strategy and plans to get done business that includes the state budget cleared in an appropriate and smooth manner, Mr Beniwal said. The Assembly resumes its sittings tomorrow after a fortnight long recess during the budget session which had begun on February 15 last with Governor Shivraj Patil's address. However, the ruling Congress legislature party has so far not held its meeting to discuss its strategy for the session.
Moreover, the party last week had also re-installed as its leader, Ms Raje, who was removed from the post by the leadership about 16 months ago. Since her resignation from the post on directives from the BJP high command in 2009 the post was lying vacant. The Principal Opposition party, members of which demonstrated aggressive moods during sittings of the House so far, is likely to turn more aggressive in the House after after Ms Raje's re-election.
