The most awaited Dilhi 6 is going to release on 18 Feb 2009. It is one of the big release of year 2009 as it is movie by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra

Dilli 6 or Delhi 6 !!!

It was called ‘Dilli 6′ initially. Closer to release, it is now spelt as ‘Delhi 6′. Has Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra bogged down to numerology? We don’t know. But we ask noted astro numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi what he has to say about the change in the spelling.“The new spelling ‘Delhi 6′ will prove beneficial for everyone involved. The old name ‘Dilli 6′ which added up to Number 18 was not an auspicious number for both Abhishek and Sonam Kapoor while ‘Delhi 6′ which now totals to Number 24 is a powerful number” predicts Bhavikk.

Rajasthan Jat Mahasabha work and responsibilities!

Jat Mahasabha is the premier organization for Development of Jat Community in Rajasthan. Its aim is to raise awareness about the social and economic problems faced by Jats. Many of its officers are politically active and are influential. The Jat Mahasabha spearheaded the community's struggle for reservation in the run-up to the Lok sabha elections in 1999. Chaudhary Dara Singh is the currently president of the organization.

Okie... This is all about the Jat Mahasabha and whatever written in its forum but did you think Jat Mahasabha is really doing things for which they are responsible. May be different people have different views.
What i am looking or from my opinion jat mahasabha should do some work that can change the life style and should work for the rural peoples instead of using political benefits of People for elections.

Jat Regiment, India

The Jat Regiment claims its origins from the Calcutta Native Militia raised in 1795, which later became an infantry battalion of the Bengal Army. After 1860, there was a substantial increase in the recruitment of Jats in the Indian Army, however the Class Regiment, The Jats, was initially created as infantry units in 1897 from old battalions of the Bengal Army. In January 1922, at the time of the grouping of the Class Regiments of the Indian Army, the IX Jat Regiment was formed by bringing under a single regiment, four active and one training battalion. The Jats are known in Indian history for their skill with weapons and in combat. They had formed part of almost all successful armies of Indian feudal states.
This Brave regiment play a great role in each fight with Pakistan and China.

Rajputana Rifles, India

The name Rajputana Rifles is derived from the Hindi word Rajputana which was the old name of Rajasthan State. The regiment's origins lie the 18th century when the East India Company recruited Rajputs to protect its operations. The impressive performance of the French local units which were composed of local recruits mixed with french officers, helped the company to decide that it needed to do something similar.
Now days Rajputana Rifles mainly have JAT and Rajput around 45% Jat and 45% Rajput which make this a group of brave soldier in Indian Army.

Jat Professions

The Jats, like most South Asians, are mostly landlords and farmers; however, they are also found in many other professions. Traditionally they have formed part of the land & gentry and ruling upper classes. A large number of Jats serve in the Indian Army, including the Jat Regiment, Rajputana Rifles(45% Jat & 45% Rajput), Sikh Regiment and the Grenadiers, among others. Jats also serve in the Pakistan Army especially in the Punjab Regiment. The Jat regions in India are among the most prosperous on a per-capita basis (Haryana, Punjab, and Gujarat are among the wealthiest of Indian states). As farmers they are very industrious and both men and women work hard on their land. They are very fond and proud of their cattle, which are amongst the finest breed in the world. Jats meet their simple needs from what they produce and are, therefore, self-reliant. This has had two effects. On one hand, they have managed to live in tact for centuries around Delhi, the capital of India, and could never be coerced in to changing their form or character inspite of numerous changes of governments with different ideologies and religions. On the other hand it has hampered their progress in modern times in educational and technical fields, because they stuck to their land.

Jat Food Habits

Jat food habits are very simple. Jats are mostly non-meat eaters as a result of vedic and Buddhist influence. Their staple food is wheat or bajra, vegetables and plenty of milk and ghee. Jats cosider non-vege food undesirable but some of Jats started taking non-vege food after German war. Presently the proportion of meat eater Jats is very limited. Jat women are normally quite ignorant about cooking of non-vege dishes. Jats earlier were not in habit of taking wine but it is slowly growing in modern times due to influence of other societies.
Milk, curd and ghee is the main food component of Jats. Almost all Jats keep domestic milching animals. On special occasions halua, kheer and chawal are prepared. Rice is consumed with a lot of ghee and sugar.

Jat Languages

Jats usually speak Hindi and its dialects (Rajasthani, Haryanvi, Malvi), Punjabi and its dialects, Urdu, Kashmiri, Dogri, Sindhi and Gujarati. Sikh and Muslim Jats from the Punjab mostly speak Punjabi and its various dialects (such as Maajhi, Malwi, Doabi,Seraiki Pothohari, and Jhangochi). Jats in Haryana and Delhi speak a dialect akin to Hindi, called haryanavi. ats in Rajasthan and areas adjoining Rajasthan speaks rajathani and brij.

Life and Culture of Jat Community

The Life and culture of Jat community is full of diversity and approaches most closely to that ascribed to the traditional Aryan colonists of India. Jats are the best cultivators as well as brave and ready fighters. In the government of their villages, they appear much more democratic than the Rajput; they have less reverence for hereditary right and a preference for elected headmen. Youth especially Jats are more inclined to sports and Service. Jat people are now days are working in all sectors such as IT, Management, Medical, Business, Real Estate and Specially Defence. They have moral values and love to work for country. a big community use to live in village and depends on Agriculture and live life with full Joy.

Jat Region in India

As as Caste based Census 2031 Jat Community emerge as biggest caste in india ahead of Brahmin and other caste. Jat people are now days in whole india but they basically dominate in Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and western U.P. of northern india.
